Best Odds Guaranteed at Paddy Power applies to selected races only, and you must opt in before it applies. It is not automatic on every race card.
The extra amount BOG can pay is capped at £1,000 per customer per day, which matters mainly for larger stakes on big-priced winners.
The opt-in step is the detail most likely to catch people out. If you haven't opted in, a winning horse that starts at a bigger price is settled at the price you took. Check the race is included before placing the bet, and remember the daily cap if you stake heavily.
