Tennis
Wimbledon
The most-bet-on tennis event of the year in the UK. Our approach to Wimbledon outright markets, dark horses and daily match picks.
Grass-court form dominates
The Wimbledon form book is not the season-long form book. The grass-court warm-up events (Queen's, Halle, Eastbourne, 's-Hertogenbosch) matter far more than the clay-court results of six weeks earlier.
Outright markets
Outright winner markets open weeks in advance. Ante-post prices on the top four seeds are usually shorter than the fair value; the each-way markets on the draw's second quarter are where the model often finds edge.
Set betting and handicaps
On a fast surface with big servers, straight-set wins are common. Set-betting markets (e.g. Player A to win 3-1) and set handicaps often price up better than the standard match-winner market for the strong favourite.
Live betting on tennis
Tennis is one of the best sports for in-play betting because momentum shifts around service breaks. Prices move dramatically on a single point at deuce — set your maximum stake before the match starts, not mid-match.
Responsible betting
Grand-slam fortnights are marathons, not sprints. Set a total budget across the two weeks, not per day. Help: 0808 8020 133 or gamcare.org.uk.
Full daily previews, outright picks and dark-horse coverage will publish in the weeks before the tournament.
